An update: 1 year later

Well, for those of you who want some news on the band, here it is...

We haven't posted anything in a year, and a lot has happened in that year! First of all, our line-up has changed yet again, lol. Justin left the band almost a year ago now and Brian has taken over lead vocal singing duty! We are back to a 4-piece again with Nate on drums, Christian on lead guitar, and Darren Brush on bass guitar. This year has kinda trudged on slowly, but surely, and things are gettin' done.

What's gettin' done, IM? Well, a new EP and plenty of new IM material will be coming out soon! Hopefully we will have new t-shirt designs and the EP out by the end of this year. We just recently won the Venue Rock Parlour Battle of the Bands in Windsor, ON and won some prize money, and recording time (and thanks again to ALL who came to support us!) so, be ready for new Intra...

Besides recording, we've been writing new material that has been getting us all excited! 'More Than Skin' is the newest track we are working on and recording and it's coming along well, we will be letting you guys hear it soon or a snippit of the track soon, hopefully, lol. The IM Studio (aka BJox Studios) is in full-tilt recording drums, vocals, guitars and bass with a buddy of ours Rob Maslanka coming in to do some of the engineering on the EP!

Alexisonfire w/ Intra Meridian, One Man's Opinion, StereoGoesStellar, and more...

Hey guys, haven't updated stuff on the blog in awhile because we've been busy all working full-time lately. We've got some surprises ahead for the end of 2010 and the beginning 2011, but I can't tell ya anything yet, but what I can tell you is that we are playing with Alexisonfire this upcoming Labour Day, Sept.6th. The show will be at the St. Denis Center at the University of Windsor and Alexisonfire will be playing around 930pm. We don't know the slot times yet for all the bands playing, but once we get more info we will let you know. An update

Hi all, haven't posted anything in awhile so, I thought I'd give you, the fans, some recent news.

Last Friday, November, 21st, we played an amazing show @ The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor and wow... did we have a blast! We played with Lies Unknown, Robots In The Garden and the Dirty Americans; all unreal bands! So, needless to say we made some new friends with the boys from Robots and met some unreal dudes in Lies Unknown! Definitely check those guys out!

On another note, we had a meeting with Lew and Alex from Darkgreene Entertainment and they had nothing but good things to say about us and also we are thouroughly impressed with what they have to offer and bring to the table! We looking forward to working with them in the future!

We are still on the lookout for a new bass player, luckily our former bassist, Jesse, is filling in until we find a permanent replacement. If anyone knows any bass players, tell 'em Intra Meridian is looking for one!

Oh, and we also got picked up by a radio station in Belleville, Ontario called 91X! They are playing our song "Awaken" on frequent rotation! Hopefully more stations start showing an interest! But, still don't forget to call and request "True" or "Awaken" or "Stronger" on 89X!

89X House Band update

As you probably already know, we advanced through to the semi-finals of the 89X House Band competition! We play Nov. 12th @ TNT's Bar & Grill and hope to move on the next round! Come out and show us some support!

We played a great show @ TNT's Bar & Grill last night as we competed in the 89X House Band competition, but we have yet to get results if we won the preliminaries. Keep your fingers crossed and bug 89X to keep playing our song(s) "True", "Awaken" or "Stronger"!

We will let everyone know the results as soon as we get them.

Wanted: Bassist

Well, we've got some pretty recent news to unveil to you guys. Our now-former bassist, Jesse, has decided to leave the band to pursue other things. He left on good terms and no hard feelings were involved. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

This now leaves a gap in our lineup and we need to fill that gap, ASAP. We are on the look for bass players and we hope to fill the spot soon.

INTRA MERIDIAN: Bassist Wanted (Windsor-Essex, Ontario, Canada)

Seeking a skillful, seasoned bass player for a permanent position in an experienced, well established and active local band. Temporary players or session players need not apply. You must fulfill or adhere to the majority of the following specifications:

You must:
- be under 25 years of age(young look/style)
- be able to travel into the U.S frequently and also you MUST be able to apply for a working visa (P2 permit)
- have experience in performing in front of live audiences/stage presence
- own and operate decent quality bass rig (cab/head unit, bass guitars, road cases)
- be able to play along with a click track/electric metronome for live purposes
- be flexible and available - a lot of weekends, weekly tours etc.
- be available to practice and make room for rehearsal time at least once per week*
- have past experience being in a recording studio or have previous musical recording experience

Tomorrow

Alright, tomorrow is the day we've been looking forward to for awhile. We hope we can see a lot of people out there, rockin' the house. Head out to TNT's Bar & Grill in Clinton Township, MI on Harper Avenue for the 89X House Band Competition around 9pm to catch a great show, meet the band, buy a tee, and party. We are loving the support from fans and hope you can show a little extra and cheer real loud for us at TNT's.

Well, we've been working hard lately getting this train rolling. We completed the new editions to True, so, that's done (don't forget to call 89X and request it!) and 95.1 The Rock picked up True as well and is playing it on the Indie Show. We would love to get on 101.1, so, fingers crossed!

The rehearsal space is all setup and most of the work is complete; sound proofed, insulated, heating, cooling... the works! We just played a show last Sunday @ Dean Martini's in downtown Windsor on Pitt St. East (check it out) and we had a blast. So, we've got some shows coming up and the biggest news of all is that we are playing November 5th @ TNT's Bar in Clinton Township, MI, USA, for the 89X House Band competition! Cal Cagno strongly requested our presence in the competition.

There should be some new video footage posted soon on YouTube of our lastest show, so check it out within the next few days and you'll be impressed!

Our very own Justin Raisbeck plays acoustic on Tuesdays and the talented Brian Jacques plays on Thursdays. Come out and see some good music! It's not Intra Meridian, but it's still rockin'!

Is it TRUE?

We just finished recording True the other day at SLR Studios and it is sounding great... that was the easy part, lol. Now we've got to try and get this thing on the radio and hope people really dig the song. We've got some show dates coming up in October and we hope to start rockin' stages all over the place.

It's been slow lately with weddings and getting the new jam space set up, but now that we've recorded True, all our minds are set on shows and promoting Intra Meridian big time.

We've got a local date coming up for our Canadian fans! October 4th @ Dean Martini's at 8pm. It's $5 at the door and it should be a kickass night! Come out and drink some booze and watch a good rock show.

So, start requesting "True" by Intra Meridian on 89X, bombard them with calls! We need fan support to get this train a' rollin'.
